This Buyer Protection Policy is designed to ensure fair trading practices, provide accurate product information across the platform, and prevent sellers from taking unfair advantage of buyers or gaining an unjust competitive edge over other sellers operating in the same market.
How to Return an Item and Request a Refund
If an item is defective or does not match the description or images listed on markasouq.com, you may take the following steps:
- • Return the item to us.
- • Submit a refund request through the platform.
- • You will receive an email from Markasouq customer service to further investigate the issue.
- • Once approved, receive your refund through the original payment method.
Refund Processing Time
- • Credit or Debit Card Payments: Refunds may take 5 to 10 business days to process.
- • Cash on Delivery (COD): Refunds may be issued to your Markasouq Wallet or directly to your bank account.
Terms Under Which the Buyer Protection Policy Applies
- • All return and refund requests are subject to approval by Markasouq.
- • Return requests must be submitted within 15 days of the product’s delivery date.
- • Products must be unused and returned in their original packaging.
- • The product’s serial number must remain intact and untampered.
- • Electronics may only be returned or exchanged if they differ from the stated description or displayed images.
Note: Items that arrive late, differ significantly from their description, or show clear damage or defects not disclosed in the listing are typically eligible for coverage under this policy.
How Claims Are Reviewed
Markasouq will review all claims within 14 business days of receiving the request. During this period, additional information may be requested from the buyer and/or seller. If a claim is approved, the buyer will receive a full refund. If a claim is denied, Markasouq will provide a written explanation detailing the reason for the decision.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute between a buyer and a seller, Markasouq will work with both parties to resolve the issue fairly and impartially. If a resolution cannot be reached, Markasouq reserves the right to issue a refund to the buyer or take any other necessary action to resolve the matter.
Modification and Termination of Buyer Protection
Markasouq reserves the right to modify or terminate this Buyer Protection Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be published on this page and will take effect immediately upon posting.
Terms Under Which the Buyer Protection Policy Does NOT Apply
- • Products that are used, damaged, or scratched by the customer.
- • Personal care and hygiene products.
- • Products that are not defective at the warehouse.
- • Products with a tampered or altered serial number.
- • Products classified as hazardous goods.
